Job Title: Driver (Temporal Post)
Organisation: Break Barriers (Nottingham) Limited
Location: Nottingham
Working Times: As and when needed Monday - Sunday
Hourly Rate: £9.00/hr Monday – Friday between 06:30 and 20:00
£9.10/hr Weekends and Weekdays between 20:00 and 24:00

Job Purpose

The main purpose of this job is to transport staff from home to customer, from customer to customer, or from customer to the staff’s home. It also involves transporting customers within the community to access shops, religious and leisure activities.

The driver will always be expected to observe punctuality.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the organisation.
  • Support an open, positive and inclusive culture.
  • Participate in the development of the Break Barriers transport policies.
  • Participate in the evaluation of Break Barriers against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives.
  • Minimise legal risks.
  • Assist the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the company.
  • Work in a cost-effective manner.
  • Systematically assist to solve day-to-day transport problematical issues which arise.
  • Systematically assist to solve day-to-day transport problematical issues which arise.
Record keeping
  • Responsible for maintaining all transport documentation and recordkeeping systems.
Communication/Customer Service
  • Responsible for maintaining all transport documentation and recordkeeping systems.
  • Support customer care service department with dropping off PPEs to customers.
Staff Support
  • Convey information both orally and in writing to keep all staff updated with transport changes/needs.
  • Respond to or re-direct transport inquiries from customers to the office.
General
  • To always maintain confidentiality and carry out the Company’s Confidentiality Policy.
  • To always represent the Company in a professional manner.
  • To carry out any other tasks required by the Registered Manager that are corresponding with the level of responsibility.
  • Be aware of and implement Break Barriers (Nottingham) Ltd.’s policies and procedures.

All duties and responsibilities must be carried out with due regard to the Break Barriers policies and procedures including standards detailed by the Skills for Care Code of practice.

Post holders will be accountable for carrying out all duties and responsibilities with due regard to the Break Barriers’ Equal & Diversity Policy.

Duties which include the processing of any personal data must be undertaken within the Data Protection guidelines & in line with the principle of Break Barriers confidentiality and disclosure policies.
